Dai grows all of the grapes in our wines using only natural fertilizers and without the use of chemical herbicides or systemic fungicides. He has been farming vineyards this way for 20 years. This philosophy of using a natural approach with minimal intervention also drives the winemaking.

2010 Lumos Gewürztraminer - Temperance Hill Vineyard ($19)

A beautiful dry ripe Gewürztraminer. Floral melon and rosewater. Nice back palate brightness with exceptional minerality. Received a Silver Medal at the 2011 Oregon Wine Awards.All stainless fermentation. No ML. 159 cases 12.3% alc.

2008 Lumos Pinot Gris2010 Lumos Pinot Gris - Rudolfo ($17)

Vavoom! A vibrant and inspiring Pinot Gris with aromatics of pear, citrus and peach.
A fruit salad in a glass. All stainless fermentation. And it just won a Double Gold Medal at the 2011 Oregon Wine Awards. A total crowd pleaser this one. 614cases. 13.7% alc.

 

 

2009 Temperance Hill Pinot Gris2010 Lumos Pinot Gris - Temperance Hill Vineyard ($20)

We call this one 'Julia'. You'll have to take a peak at the back of the bottle to see why. A dry, elegant wine that expresses the minerality and terroir of Temperance Hill Vineyard. Fresh aromatics of wildflowers and pear tart. Focuses into a long finish. Stainless and barrel fermented. Winner of a Double Gold Medal at the 2011 Oregon Wine Awards. 196 cases. 13.4% alc.

2005 Lumos Pinot Noir 2009 Lumos Pinot Noir - Five Blocks ($24)

Barreled 15 months. A rich and luscious Pinot Noir with dark red fruit, sandalwood, wet earth and spice. Relatively bright acidity and fine tannins make this an excellent food wine.
504 cases. 14.1% alc. Food Alliance and Salmon Safe Certified.

 

 

2008 Lumos Pinot Noir2008 Lumos Pinot Noir - Temperance Hill ($32)

Just a baby in Pinot Noir years but very well behaved for one so young. The huge aromatics and forward fruit foreshadow the elegant wine this one is destined to become. Will cellar nicely.Winner of a Double Gold Medal at the 2011 Oregon Wine Awards. 688 cases. 13.6% alc. Food Alliance and Salmon Safe Certified.

 

 

2008 Pinot Noir North2008 Lumos Pinot Noir - Temperance Hill North ($38)

Sadly we are out of this amazing wine. We look forward to bottling the 2010 in the spring.
